Leading XO Espresso Bar: From Acquisition to Expansion

In 2022, Alex acquired XO Espresso Bar, a specialty coffee business that delivers premium coffee and wellness drinks with exceptional service. Alex took on the CEO role after securing investor financing to acquire two café locations in Miami. He oversees all aspects of business development, including financial planning, procurement, human resources, and payroll.

Under Alex’s leadership, XO Espresso Bar has expanded into wholesale operations and is exploring new locations and franchise opportunities. A new XO Espresso Bar location is set to open in a high-demand Miami Beach area later this year. Additionally, Alex secured an exclusive three-year coffee supply and consulting agreement with Yann Couvreur, further supporting the business’s growth.

Co-founder of Hello Arthur: A Marketplace for Healthcare Providers

Alex Schifter co-founded Hello Arthur in 2021, a marketplace designed to simplify the procurement of medical and dental supplies by connecting healthcare providers directly with manufacturers. This model enables cost savings by cutting out the middleman. The company’s name honors Alex’s grandfather, Arthur Schifter, who was instrumental in supplying critical medical supplies during the AIDS pandemic.

Although Hello Arthur grew to six figures in revenue, Alex decided to wind down operations and focus on XO Espresso Bar due to the challenges the company faced.
